Running mac and windows together
If you’re in love with the beauty and simplicity of the Mac operating-system but will almost certainly use Windows forever due to the type of software you employ then you definately may feel like you have no options. Fortunately there are many possibilities open to help you still have the Mac you would like.
I have a 24″ Imac and absolutely love it. I started out as an Apple customer but was required to switch to Windows when all the work software I used only ran on Windows. As a result of the new OS10 that runs on a Linux platform it is possible to run windows over a mac in a variety of ways.
My personal choice is VMWare Fusion which offers you a virtual environment by which to operate any os, not only windows. Programs called Parallels and VirtualBox do the same thing. I just now preferred the interface of VMWare’s product.
You may also use bootcamp which lets you reboot your personal machine directly into windows or Mac, take your pick. However, by using this method you can’t run both of them as well. With the virtual method above you are able to run them as well as well as drag and drop files from one OS on the other. How sweet is?
I build mac side of my machine for whenever possible. The windows side is reserved for 3rd party programs that aren’t mainstream (internet marketing type) and Quicken, that is the world’s best management of their bucks software for your kitchen at home. If I didn’t need those programs so much I wouldn’t run windows whatsoever. Mac is just far superior ’s all respects.
Kristen loves the mac environment. She doesn’t like Windows quite definitely. She also enjoys authoring outdoor gazebo and portable room divider and delta shower faucets.
