Discover The Low Down On Childhood Obesity
Childhood obesity rates are increasingly significantly across the world; most notably in the western world. The reasons for this, though many argue genetics are involved, are most likely to do with lifestyle.
It is increasingly easy for a child to become overweight these days, and it is very rarely a medical issue. Quite simply, many kids just simply do not exercise enough, nor have a healthy enough diet. As such, weight just piles on.
Due to the fast pace of the modern world, people do not get enough time to get proper balanced food in their diet. So they are easily attracted to junk food items to alleviate their hunger. As they are selling at a very cheap price, children are getting obsessed with it and as a result taking a high amount of calories.
Due to the high demand in the market superstores are stocking with processed foods which contain high amounts of sugar and fat contents. But the solution is simple. If you start taking fresh fruits and vegetables and eating in small portions at a gap of three hours you will start to see some good results in few weeks.
Another reason for the problem is that children in west are lazy and less energetic than others. They have less walking habit for example where other child walks towards school. There are also moving stairs and lift facilities in school and children remain lazy and less active.
Further than this, there are decreasingly levels of sport played in schools, and kids are not as encouraged to be active as they once were. At home too; instead of playing with friends outside, this is more likely to be done in front of a games console. Again, the solution is clear however; exercise more and run around. Being out of breath and sweaty is a good thing.
Human body needs significant calories to operate it. If your child eat more calories but less active then extra calories will stored as fat in your body and results into childhood obesity. So simply change your daily life works to overcome this situation.
