The Four Keys To Excellent Health and Wellness

February 8th, 2010

Your healthy functioning body is the most valuable material asset you possess. It’s the first thing of value given to you when you enter this world and you owe it to yourself to value it and increase its functioning value. Today I will give you 4 keys to progressively creating a healthy body and life for yourself so that you can enjoy life to the fullest. Here are your healthy nutrition tips:

Key #1 – Think Right: “As your mind flows so your life goes.” Meaning - your life is a product of the thoughts you think, which leads to the actions you do, which then creates the results you see. Someone who is 400 pounds overweight cannot loose 100 pounds per year if they continue to think that they must have a pound of ice cream every day to be happy. Clearly the key to changing this ingrained habit pattern is to progressively change that way of thinking to one that will produce right habits/actions and thereby producing the desired results.

Key #2 - Eating & drinking Right: Consuming the right foods is also very important. Many people find this hard to do because they’ve long formed improper eating habits that can be very hard to change without assistance. How would you rate your eating habits? Understand that your body is a living organism that uses the food you consume to recreate itself. Before a cell dies it reproduces another cell from the food you are currently consuming. So consider this: If you had the choice would you create your body from the nutrients in the food you are consuming right now?

Key #3 - Resting Right: Rest = Restoration. Makes sense, doesn’t it? While exercise and movement are essential for stimulating circulation and the elimination of toxins, rest and sleep provide an opportunity for the body to cleanse, repair, and rejuvenate on a deep cellular level. Nourishing your body with plenty of healing sleep and rest is essential for becoming whole.

Key #4 - Being Happy every day: That is the cornerstone of any health and wellness guide. Now, some people would consider the possibility of being happy every day to be impossible but I’m here to tell you that it is possible. YES IT IS! How? Well for starters I recommend that you smile for at least one minute as soon as you get up each morning. It doesn’t matter if your life is totally upside down - smile anyway. There are many benefits to smiling that I won’t go into here but from a body chemical standpoint it does the body well. Secondly, I recommend that you smile and say HI to as many people as you can throughout the day. Just these 2 tips alone are enough to improve your mood and outcome in life significantly. My main tip to being happy everyday will be included in an article on nutrigoddess.com called “How to be Happy Every Single Day!”

Recap: How to improve health and fitness?
1.    Think right
2.    Eating & drinking Right
3.    Resting Right
4.    Being Happy every day

These 4 components are what it takes to achieve excellent health.

Take Amtrak to The San Diego Area For Your Next Leisurely Family Vacation

February 8th, 2010

If you have not traveled by Amtrak for a vacation, perhaps it is time to to give it some consideration.  The national train network makes it possible to get around from most major cities.  Getting there can be half the fun on some of the more scenic routes.

Of all the many great vacation destinations accessible by train, San Diego must be near the top of the list.  The train runs right into the middle of town, with easy local public transportation to get you to your hotel and most of the attractions.  San Diego is spread out over a smaller geographical area than other parts of SoCal, notably Los Angeles.  In fact, a lot of the attractions can be enjoyed by walking.

There is no shortage of fun places of interest in San Diego.  Visiting all of the beaches, museums, historical attractions and other amusements could truly take weeks.  So it is safe to assume that you can engage yourself in a week of both relaxation and activity in this harbor city.  One of the major features that San Diego offers its guests and residents alike is its wonderful, moderate weather, especially in the summertime.

Continuing your train travel up the West Coast past Los Angeles would be an option if you would like to plan an even more substantial trip.  AmTrak runs from the downtown San Diego station to downtown Los Angeles Union Station with a few stops in between.  By doing any of the above, it would be reasonable to engage in a one- or two-week vacation without using a car.

Don’t forget that a trip by train can add several days on to the total schedule compared to flying, but if you have the right mindset the traveling can be part of the overall enjoyment of the trip.

What Affects the Value of Coins?

What Are Factors That Affect The Value Of Coins?

When one is just starting in coin collecting, often your first question will be: “What are anchor text backlinks?” The answer is, the coin will cost as much as you are willing to pay for it and the amount can vary considerably. For instance, a coin dealer can offer can be much less than a coin collector that certainly wants your coin badly to add in his collection.

The following are factors that can influence coin values.

1. Grade or condition of the coin. Your coin will be worth or valued more when it is in good condition. When in a perfect or unblemished mint condition, an “uncirculated” coin will be worth much more than a similar coin that has been in circulation. There are many websites that teach you how to check backlinks.

2. The rarity of a coin is the principal basis for a coins value. Generally, the more rare that a coin is determined to be, the higher it’s price. Please keep in mind that rarity has little influence on the coins age. Chinese coins which can be a thousand years old normally sell for about ten dollars since there are so many of them; while a “1913 Liberty Head Nickel” can sell for up to or over 1 million dollars because only 5 specimens are known to exist.

3. Bullion value. A coin’s precious metal content will also contribute to its value. A platinum, silver or gold coin won’t, in general sell for less than the coins value when melted.

4. Demand. This is how to increase google page rank. There are coins that are greatly in demand; sought after by many collectors, and if a particular coin is in great demand the price will be even higher. Even comparatively plentiful coins can demand a higher value when they are popular amongst coin collectors.

For instance, “1916 D dimes” are much more abundant than the “1798 dimes” yet in spite of this, “1916 D dimes” sell for so much more because there are many more people collecting 20th century dimes than 1700 dimes.

So in conclusion the value of coins fluctuates depending on the state of things in the world of coin collecting.

Ethanol and Its Advantages and Disadvantages in the Power Source Play

February 7th, 2010
Comments Off

With increasing frequency, you have probably seen ethanol pop up at your local gas stations as a fuel alternative to your gasoline. Do you know what ethanol actually is? Ethanol is also referred to as grain alcohol or ethyl alcohol. It is an alternative fuel source with an alcohol base. It is often mixed with gasoline to create a higher-octane fuel rating as well as reduce emissions of vehicles.

Ethanol is derived from various grains and plants such as barley, wheat and the most popular, corn. Fermenting the grains and then distilling them in a special process creates this alternative fuel. If you are really into chemistry, you will likely know that CH3CH2OH is ethanol’s chemical formula. This alternative fuel is clear and doesn’t stink like gasoline, probably because it is made from natural ingredients. Ethanol’s popularity is growing because it burns cleaner, is derived from plants and is also renewable. As of now between twenty-five to thirty percent of gasoline in the United States is an ethanol blend.

In regards to the production of ethanol, it was mentioned that some grains like corn are used. The United States uses corn predominately for the ethanol production. However, for such countries like Brazil, it is sugar cane that is used the most. The location and abundance of resources, which also include grain sorghum and biomass (plant leftovers or waste) will dictate how ethanol is produced in a specific area or country.

There are some great advantages to using ethanol as a fuel source. It is because of these advantages that you will likely see more of ethanol in the future. These advantages include:

1. Ethanol is a clean burning fuel, which means that the emissions which contribute to the ozone layer are diminished.

2. Renewable resources are always popular. The great thing about ethanol is that all the plants that are used in the production of it can be re-planted and harvested again for more ethanol.

3. Ethanol production creates more jobs for the economy as well as support the agricultural industry, specifically those farmers who depend on selling their harvests.

4. The progression of ethanol means that our country would become less dependent on foreign oil companies and could gain some independence in the power industry.

5. Ethanol is also safer than gasoline due to the slower evaporation rate versus gasoline. What happens is that because the evaporation is slow, it hinders the alcohol’s concentration level therefore rendering it relatively harmless when it comes to blowing up.

There are two sides to every coin and story. Just as there are some great advantages of ethanol. There are also some disadvantages as well. Read on for some of the arguments against ethanol:

1. Ethanol does not produce as much energy as gasoline. It is about thirty percent less. Because of the reduced energy level, you will not get as much mileage in your automobile. And while ethanol is cheaper as the gas pumps, you can be sure that you will end up filling up your vehicle more often.

2. It takes a lot of grain to keep you in ethanol. That is a lot of farm land, man power and even resources for the production of ethanol.

3. Ethanol can be caustic for the fuel parts in your vehicle that are made from a non-synthetic material or even rubber in its natural form.

4. Crops that are used in producing ethanol should be rotated out. If you plant one particular thing and don’t try cultivating other crops, you could end up degrading your soil.

Ethanol has a great future ahead of it. Because of its increasing popularity, more farmers are growing crops specifically for the creation of ethanol. In addition, there are refineries for ethanol being built as well. You might want to look into whether your current vehicle can handle one of the ethanol blends or not. If it does, you can expect to pay less at the gas pump.

Refrigeration system history

February 6th, 2010
Comments Off

In 1758, Benjamin Franklin and John Hadley, professor of chemistry at Cambridge University, conducted an experiment to explore the principle of evaporation as a means to rapidly cool an object. Franklin and Hadley confirmed that evaporation of highly volatile liquids such as alcohol and ether, could be used to drive down the temperature of an object past the freezing point of water. They conducted their experiment with the bulb of a mercury thermometer as their object and with a bellows used to “quicken” the evaporation; they lowered the temperature of the thermometer bulb down to 7°F while the ambient temperature was 65°F.

Franklin noted that soon after they passed the freezing point of water (32°F) a thin film of ice formed on the surface of the thermometer’s bulb and that the ice mass was about a quarter inch thick when they stopped the experiment upon reaching 7°F. Franklin concluded, “From this experiment, one may see the possibility of freezing a man to death on a warm summer’s day”

In 1805, American inventor Oliver Evans designed but never built a refrigeration system based on the vapor-compression refrigeration cycle rather than chemical solutions or volatile liquids such as ethyl ether.

In 1820, the British scientist Michael Faraday liquefied ammonia and other gases by using high pressures and low temperatures.

An American living in Great Britain, Jacob Perkins, obtained the first patent for a vapor-compression refrigeration system in 1834. Perkins built a prototype system and it actually worked, although it did not succeed commercially.

In 1842, an American physician, John Gorrie, designed the first system for refrigerating water to produce ice. He also conceived the idea of using his refrigeration system to cool the air for comfort in homes and hospitals (i.e., air-conditioning). His system compressed air, then partially cooled the hot compressed air with water before allowing it to expand while doing part of the work required to drive the air compressor. That isentropic expansion cooled the air to a temperature low enough to freeze water and produce ice, or to flow “through a pipe for effecting refrigeration otherwise” as stated in his patent granted by the U.S. Patent Office in 1851. Gorrie built a working prototype, but his system was a commercial failure.

Alexander Twining began experimenting with vapor-compression refrigeration in 1848 and obtained patents in 1850 and 1853. He is credited with having initiated commercial refrigeration in the United States by 1856.

Widespread commercial refrigeration use

By the 1870s breweries had become the largest users of commercial refrigeration units, though some still relied on harvested ice. Though the ice-harvesting industry had grown immensely by the turn of the 20th century, pollution and sewage had begun to creep into natural ice making it a problem in the metropolitan suburbs. Eventually breweries began to complain of tainted ice. This raised demand for more modern and consumer-ready refrigeration and ice-making machines. In 1895, German engineer Carl von Linde set up a large-scale process for the production of liquid air and eventually liquid oxygen for use in safe household refrigerators.

Refrigerated railroad cars were introduced in the US in the 1840s for the short-run transportation of dairy products. In 1867 J.B. Sutherland of Detroit, Michigan patented the refrigerator car designed with ice tanks at either end of the car and ventilator flaps near the floor which would create a gravity draft of cold air through the car.

By 1900 the meat packing houses of Chicago had adopted ammonia-cycle industrial refrigeration. By 1914 almost every location used artificial refrigeration. The big meat packers, Armour, Swift, and Wilson, had purchased the most expensive units which they installed on train cars and in branch houses and storage facilities in the more remote distribution areas.

It was not until the middle of the 20th century that refrigeration units were designed for installation on tractor-trailer rigs (trucks or lorries). Refrigerated vehicles are used to transport perishable goods, such as frozen foods, fruit and vegetables, and temperature-sensitive chemicals. Most modern refrigerators keep the temperature between -40 and +20 °C and have a maximum payload of around 24 000 kg. gross weight (in Europe).

Small laptops allow students the opportunity to function on their hottest essays away from their desk. Small laptops are ideal to take into lectures. Small laptops are easy to bring, light, and have become more and more consumer friendly. Often called netbooks, web books, or mini laptops they are usually fast getting the most recent must have item.

Small laptops also are cheaper than most of the normal notebooks. Netbooks are low- cost portable PCs whose main function is to view the Web. They generally aren’t designed for multitasking or handling tasks like sophisticated photo editing. Small laptops Review are compact in size. They typically have a display screen of about 10 to 11 inches.

Normally, small laptops use low- energy WiFi and reduced- contrast displays to prolong their battery lifespan. For the same purpose, they also use a powered- down version of common CPUs. Typically the traditional laptop equation is that the smaller you get, the more pricey. This breaks that trend totally. Typical netbook’s are nevertheless in the 8- 16GB variety, while harddisks are up to 160GB. This is a big punch in a small arrangement and allows for the vast majority of daily laptop utilization.

Bayer on alert by the FDA regarding Yaz TV Advertisements

February 6th, 2010

In 2008, the birth control drug Yaz had been experiencing unprecedented buzz and commercial success. During the fall of that year, the producer of Yaz, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, attained a letter from the Food and Drug Administration forewarning them regarding their current advertisings for Yaz.

Birth control medication, including YAZ, Yasmin, or Ocella, regulate hormones inside the body. Hormones are fundamentally chemical indicators, elements produced by one cell or band of cells to influence another cell or cluster of cells in a new section of the body. This regulation of hormones, either internally through the brain or externally through the usage of drugs or different pharmaceutic means, has profound outcomes within the human body.

Investigation into break-outs has found it could be a result of many things, however hormone ranges are key. A surge of testosterone is responsible for during the most general time of pimple outbreak in men and women: puberty. Regulation of testosterone may, in some instances, mean the regulation of pimples. Bayer tried to harness this fact.

Although it was correct that during the time of the ads Yaz was periodically used to treat pimples, the Food and Drug Administration mentioned how the advertising employed by Bayer implied that Yaz was suitable for the extensive treatment of general acne breakout conditions.

The TV Ad, Not Gonna Take it, is among the Yaz Advertisements that is in violation. The term “ACNE” is in all caps in the middle of the TV Screen. Afterward there’s an audio message with a female with clear pores. The basic meaning that comes along is that YAZ is may also help all pores and skin varieties, which is false. It actually is intended to be for light to moderate acne.

Perhaps the most powerful and affecting information on Yaz and cystic acne comes from individual testimonies and reviews(both nice and bad) from women who’ve used Yaz. These are readily available on numerous websites. During the information gathering phase, Yaz Birth Control Lawyers have noticed various women discover that taking Yaz increases their acne breakouts, in some cases remarkably so. Some other women have seen spots reduce upon starting Yaz. There’s yet no consistent method to predict what person will experience what (if any) impact on their acne by taking Yaz.

The Windows Registry - How Should I clean it?

February 5th, 2010
Comments Off

The windows registry accumulates errors which slow down your computer over time. This occurs because your computer searches through the registry when retrieving information. Without the registry, your computer would not be able to run.

Your computer searches through the registry for your settings and preferences every time you boot your computer up. And each time you shut it down; it will record the changes you made while your computer was on. Obviously, the bigger your registry, the more time it will take for your computer to sort through it. This is exactly the reason why you need to clean your registry and keep it down to a manageable size.

Fortunately, a registry cleaner is a very easy to use tool.

The benefit of running a registry cleaner periodically is that your computer will run faster. You will also have less crashing and stopping.

Registry cleaning is never something you should do on your own. Even experienced computer owners will use a tool to clean their registry. It’s too risky to start deleting registry records on your own. This can cause permanent damage to your computer.

You will want a registry cleaner with the following features:

- A cleaner that will scan your registry first for unnecessary registry records and then repair them.

- A back up feature to make sure your registry is safe just in case the software deletes a registry record that was needed (this is not often the case, but it is piece of mind).

- A registry cleaner that will remove the fragmented registry records.

- A scheduler which will allow you to set up a schedule. That means your registry cleaner software will run every month or whenever you set it up. Once set up, you don’t need to think about it again!

Turn registry cleaning into habit.

Fixing registry problems after they have already happened is very difficult. Therefore, it’s better to prevent them. Running a registry cleaner on a regular schedule will help prevent registry errors and their side-effects. Don’t wait until your computer starts acting up to run a registry cleaner. You need to maintain it for the long run and take preventative actions now. Otherwise you may be stuck dealing with computer freezes, windows errors, shutdowns, and programs that do not respond.

You do not need to pay an expensive technician to repair your computer. The likely culprit is an overloaded registry. Download a registry cleaner today and get your computer back in tip-top shape in minutes.
